The case is encased in an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The most noticeable improvement is the crown, which is protected by an integrated guard, giving the case a more robust feel.
The dial of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King 126900-0001 is quite legible and has good contrast. The new watch retains the black lacquer finish with large white Arabic numerals indicating the minutes and a classic Mercedes-inspired set of white gold hands.
The numerals at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock are made of white gold, applied to the dial, and coated with Rolex's special Chromalight luminescent material. The triangle at 12 o'clock is also coated with the same luminescent material.

The Air-King 126900 is worn on a 3-link Oyster bracelet, fully polished on both flat surfaces and sides. The bracelet comes with an Oysterlock folding clasp with an Easylink extension link (approximately 5 mm)
